TECHNE CORPORATION DECLARES DIVIDEND

Minneapolis/February 3, 2009-Techne Corporation (NASDAQ:TECH) announced that its Board of Directors has approved a dividend payment of $0.25 per share for the quarter ended December 31, 2008.  The quarterly dividend will be payable February 27, 2009 to all common shareholders of record on February 13, 2009.  Future cash dividends will be considered by the Board of Directors on a quarterly basis.
